Ready for #thenextchapter? (Taken with instagram)
#thenextchapter has begun

It’s been a while since we could state that Campus was complete, but as you might have noticed in the last couple of weeks, we’ve been working hard again. First as a 4 piece, with Fabrice Parent on guitar, and in the last two weeks Martijn Leenaers joined us on vocals. You might know him from When Hope Escapes. So it was about time to say that #thenextchapter, as we’ve been saying on twitter, has officially begun.
We will be working on new songs and pre recordings in the upcoming weeks, so expect more updates on regular times. 2012 is already looking promising to all of us, and we will keep you updated about all the things that are about to happen shortly, but there is no doubt, we - as a 5 piece band & the people surrounding us - are beyond excited for it.
Enjoy the holidays with your loved ones, and have a great start of 2012, you’ll hear from us soon. A big thank you to every one who sticked by our sides during a rough but busy year 2011, it means a lot to us.
Get to know Martijn & Fabrice because you will be seeing them a lot more in 2012.
Campus.
After months of forming our new line up & writing new songs we’re happy to announce we’re going to play our first show of 2012 with our buddies in Vanna at MOD in Hasselt on February 18th. We’ll be playing some new tunes so come out & support us! Tickets thru: http://www.heartbreaktunes.com/
More cool announcements later on this week! Keep checking.

There’s no easy way to tell you this, but our singer Rik recently decided to leave the band. Everyone plans out their own future and at this point Rik’s future plans don’t match the goals and ambitions the band has. As he started to realize this, he felt he was slowing Campus down by staying, so he decided to part ways with us.
Needless to say we were devastated when he told us the news. We are still in shock but we truely respect Rik’s decision. We want to make this clear, we part ways as friends, with no hard feelings what-so-ever: Rik is, and will always be one of our closest friends.
Rik: ”This will come as a big surprise to a lot of people: From now on I will no longer be doing vocals in Campus.
Why? Campus will be hitting the European roads a lot more in the future, which is something I just can’t combine with my personal life anymore. So I take a step aside so the band can pursue all their future plans & goals. In the next few weeks I will help them find a new vocalist…”
There’s no better way to say “goodbye” than to play one last unforgettable show together! On Saturday September 10th we have a hometown show planned at the Moulin Rock Festival in Tessenderlo. We’re convinced that this is the perfect time and place to do this, accompanied by many friends & famliy. Please come hang out and party at MRF2011, it would mean the world to Rik and us! We are headlining around midnight. Info & tickets: www.moulinrock.be.
Rik: “I had a great time on the road, I want to thank the guys for sharing this great adventure with them during the last few years. You’ll definately see me around at shows in the future, but from now on only in front of the stage, not on stage.”
Thanks to my boys in Campus, the crew, my girlfriend Gitte, my parents An and Peter and all the partying fans, sponsors, promotors,… You all are awesome!”
As we said earlier, the band still has tons of ambition and we are getting more and more really cool offers (of all sorts) we can’t refuse. Just to make clear, Campus is motivated as hell to take this as far as we can go! The future’s ours to take, inside all of this is hope.
We hope you will all keep supporting us because that’s exactly what Campus needs right now. THANKS
It’s an old one we know but still sooooo impressive! Let’s get shit crackin’!!!
